A vacuum diffusion welding furnace is a precision welding device that operates in a high-vacuum environment. By relying on precise temperature control, pressure regulation, and controlled holding times, it facilitates the mutual diffusion of atoms at the workpiece interfaces to form a metallurgical bond. Unlike conventional fusion welding, the base material does not melt throughout the process. It requires no filler material or flux, thereby preventing the introduction of impurities or defects. This method is suitable for processing various oxide and non-oxide ceramics, as well as ceramic-to-metal dissimilar composite components.

The equipment relies on the combined effects of vacuum, high temperature, and pressure to complete the welding process, which is simple and stable: After the workpieces are pre-ground and cleaned of impurities, they are loaded into the furnace. The vacuum system evacuates the air from the furnace to create a high-vacuum environment, preventing high-temperature oxidation. Under high temperature and pressure, atoms at the interface continuously diffuse and fuse, forming a dense diffusion layer. After the holding period, the temperature is slowly lowered to release internal stresses, thereby preventing ceramic cracking.

Compared to traditional welding,vacuum diffusion welding furnaces offer significant advantages: no fusion welding defects, dense and seamless joints, joint strength approaching that of the base material, and full preservation of the ceramic’s original properties such as high-temperature resistance and insulation; capable of welding ceramics to each other, as well as performing dissimilar welding between ceramics and titanium alloys or stainless steel, and compatible with various composite ceramics; solid-state low-temperature welding results in minimal deformation, high precision in finished products, and reduced need for subsequent finishing; the entire process is free of flux fumes and harmful exhaust gases, making it environmentally friendly; The entire set of process parameters is intelligently controllable, with automatic storage of process curves, ensuring stable quality in batch production and suitability for large-scale mass production.
