ACME Chairman Dai Yu was elected as a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences

On July 27, Mr. Burak P·I·, Deputy Dean of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (PAEH/RANS: Russian Academy of Natural Sciences), issued an academician certificate to Dr. Dai Yu through a remote online method. Secretary Li Fankun and Vice Chairman Wang Zhun of Changsha Association for Science and Technology, Professor Tang Jiancheng, Dean of the School of Physics and Materials of Nanchang University, and Professor Tan Dunqiang, Vice Dean of Nanchang University attended and witnessed. Mr. Ilmirov, a specially-appointed expert from ACME, received the certificate on his behalf at the Moscow conference.

The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (PAEH/RANS) was established in 1990 and is one of the three highest cross-industry academic institutions in Russia. Scientists who have made major achievements have important academic influence. At present, the academy has 24 departments, 18 Nobel Prize winners and more than 270 academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The foreign academicians of the Academy of Sciences include outstanding scientists from 48 countries around the world.

Dai Yu, Ph.D. in Materials Science, is currently the chairman of Hunan ACME Co., Ltd., a professor of Nanchang University, and a leading talent of the national "Ten Thousand People Program". He led the team to conquer the key preparation technologies of a series of carbon-based/ceramic-based composite materials, 3D printing metal-based materials, and high-purity carbon-based materials for third-generation semiconductors; developed a series of ultra-large, ultra-high temperature carbon-based/ceramic-based composite materials. Intelligent thermal equipment and advanced heat treatment equipment have made important contributions to major national projects. Especially in recent years, Dr. Dai Yu has actively participated in and promoted Sino-Russian scientific and technological innovation, talent exchanges and cooperation, and made great contributions to the development of Sino-Russian international cooperation.

Dr. Dai Yu went through the procedures of academician recommendation, material review, expert defense, department election, and presidium election review, and after several rounds of strict academic review and selection procedures, in view of his outstanding contributions in the field of materials science and engineering equipment, the final selection was made. Elected as a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
